It's great to dance to swing standards, old rock and roll, and even some contemporary songs with that syncopated swing rhythm.  Our beginning classes always start right from the first step, so if you have never danced before or if you just never got around to ECS, this class will get you dancing this super fun dance!

Beginning Cha Cha

Cha Cha is a sexy and playful latin dance that is done to medium tempo songs.  Our aim is to get you dancing the basic along with a few fun patterns out on the social dance floor.  This dance is very popular at ballroom and social events so you'll want to include it in your repertoire of dances for sure!

Intermediate Cha Cha

Once you've learned the basic steps and you're ready for some fancier footwork, come join us for intermediate Cha Cha. In this class we want to improve your lead and follow and get you doing some interesting moves and figures with fun turns and timing variations.

Beyond Basics Cha Cha series

Whether you are a relative beginner, who has only recently gotten comfortable with some basic steps of Cha Cha, or a more seasoned dancer with dozens of great moves, “Beyond Basics” can help you take your dancing to the next level!  During this series our focus will be on technique, lead and follow skills and styling.  Limited enrollment so please call or email to check availability.

Beginning Waltz

The Waltz is a progressive and turning dance with figures designed for both a larger ballroom floor and the average dance floor. The use of sway, rise and fall highlight the smooth, lilting style of the Waltz. We will be starting right at the beginning with the basic Waltz box and progressing at an easy pace through out the series.

Beginning Waltz Level 2

Once you've gotten comfortable with the basic steps of Waltz and you want to add a few more turns and patterns to your arsenal, then this is the perfect class for you.  We will always work to refine foot work and technique as we teach fun and interesting moves that you can practice and use on the dance floor right away!

Intermediate Waltz

Perfect for those who want to expand their Waltz repertoire and develop their technique. This class will pay closer attention to footwork and the rise & fall movement incorporated into the dance. We will introduce more advanced figures and work to develop the progressive form of the dance.  Due to the progressive movement of all of the dancers and because of limited floor space, enrollment in the intermediate Waltz class will be limited. Please call or email to check availability.

Beginning Rumba

The rhumba dance that developed on the East Coast of the United States was based on the bolero-son. The first Rumba competition took place in the Savoy Ballroom in 1930. Nowadays, two different styles of ballroom Rumba coexist: American-style and International-style. We will be teaching the American style Rumba. This is a beautiful, slower romantic dance that uses, largely, the same technique as Cha Cha. In this beginning course we start right from the basic step and take you through all the turns and figures you'll need to enjoy this dance quickly on the social dance floor.
